Everything was fine at first, but when I started to trim clips and audio files, things started to go out of sync, and clips started trimming that weren't supposed to trim, and part of my audio disappeared for seemingly no reason. It took me one hour to do with this software, what I could do with my old one in five minutes. It works great for simple edits, but if you want to do something more complex, it becomes tedious. I've used NCH products before, and this editor started off really promising, but they made it far more complicated than it needs to be. Your chutzpah to just revoke access to a product I PURCHASED and ASK ME FOR MORE MONEY is egregious. We are offering you a 50% discount, since you are 'upgrading'" Seriously? You wont get a single penny more out of me. "You are using a demo version, if you have a registration code, please enter it now." So I fished the registration code out of my email from 2 years ago, enter it in, and am informed that "this code is from a previous version of the software, in order to use this software you will need to purchase a new registration code.
NCH SOFTWARE VIDEOPAD VIDEO EDITOR REVIEW UPDATE
I update the software successfully, it restarts. I started up the software today, to a popup saying "software update available". Then why the 1 star review? Because they invalidated my product code and will no longer allow me to use the software I PURCHASED WITH MONEY until I BUY IT AGAIN. The software itself is fine, I have used it for simple splicing of videos and messing around with audio levels for about 2 years.
